“State of Montaro,” its agencies, laws, officials, courts, businesses, currency, and public records are fictional roleplay elements. They are not connected to any real government, law-enforcement agency, financial institution, or public service.

Rockstar Games, Grand Theft Auto, GTA, Cfx.re, FiveM, Discord, YouTube, and other third-party names and marks belong to their respective owners. References identify compatible platforms or linked services and do not imply affiliation.

Information you provide

The residency form collects a preferred name, confirmation that you are at least 18, character information, time zone, Discord username, availability, roleplay interests, application responses, and a link to a roleplay sample. Story Start applicants provide additional proposal details. Do not submit a legal name, home address, phone number, government identifier, financial information, health information, or another person’s private information.

Automatic and operational information

The hosting, security, Discord, FiveM, and content platforms used by Montaro may process ordinary technical records such as IP address, device or browser information, request timestamps, security events, server activity, moderation records, and error logs. Montaro does not currently use advertising pixels or sell personal information.

Where application information goes

Application responses are stored in the restricted Montaro Operations Portal. An optional Discord webhook may send authorized volunteer administrators a short notice that a new application is waiting; the website record remains the official review copy. Discord, OpenAI authentication, and the website hosting provider may process information needed to provide those services under their own terms and privacy policies. Public YouTube thumbnails and outbound links may also cause a visitor’s browser to contact Google or YouTube.

Retention

Application and moderation records are kept only while reasonably needed for review, community safety, appeals, recordkeeping, or legal obligations. Each application receives a 90-day retention-review date. Authorized volunteer administrators should delete rejected or withdrawn application details when no longer needed unless a documented safety, appeal, or legal reason requires longer retention. Hosting and platform providers may keep technical logs under their own retention schedules.

Operations portal and Montaro Advisor

Approved volunteer accounts may sign in through Google, a one-time email code, or ChatGPT and receive only the workspace assigned to their role. Authentication identifies the account; it does not grant access unless the verified email has also been approved by the Governor’s Office. The Governor’s Office may use a record-backed assistant to summarize permitted queue counts and recommend next steps. If a secure OpenAI API connection is enabled, the assistant sends only a minimized operational summary—not raw application answers, private case details, or volunteer email addresses—and requests that the response not be stored as API application state. The assistant cannot approve applicants, discipline members, issue directives, or make final legal or safety decisions.

Your choices

You may request access, correction, deletion, or withdrawal of an application by emailing stateofmontaro@gmail.com or opening a private support ticket in Montaro Discord ↗. A request may be limited where information must be kept for security, evidence preservation, legal compliance, or another person’s rights. Montaro does not discriminate or retaliate for a good-faith privacy request.

Adults only

Montaro is not directed to children and does not knowingly accept applications from anyone under 18. If an authorized volunteer administrator learns that an applicant is under 18, the application should be removed and access denied.

Security and incidents

Montaro uses role-based access controls, server-side authorization, validation, restricted departmental workspaces, audit records, and security logging appropriate to the information it handles. No service can promise absolute security. Suspected unauthorized access should be reported promptly to stateofmontaro@gmail.com.

Montaro is designed as a recorded and streamed roleplay environment. Participants should expect gameplay, in-city voice, public Discord events, and public text channels to appear in streams, videos, screenshots, broadcasts, archives, and community promotion.

By entering an announced recorded gameplay space, a participant grants Montaro a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, edit, display, and distribute that captured contribution for community operation, historical documentation, and promotion. The participant keeps ownership of original material they own. The license does not transfer ownership of Rockstar, third-party, or Montaro project assets.

Private support tickets, private direct messages, application responses, interviews, and conversations reasonably understood to be private are not public community media. They may be recorded or disclosed only with appropriate notice or consent, for a documented safety or moderation need, or as required by law. Individual creators remain responsible for recording-consent laws and platform rules that apply where they and other participants are located.

A participant may request that future promotional use of an identifiable clip stop. Montaro will evaluate good-faith requests, but removal may be impossible for live broadcasts, already-distributed media, evidentiary records, or material reasonably retained for legal or safety purposes.

Montaro must follow the Rockstar Games Terms, Rockstar’s roleplay-server policy, the current Cfx.re Platform License Agreement, Discord rules, and applicable creator-platform rules. Participation never authorizes infringement, cheating, evasion of platform enforcement, imported game assets, unlicensed music, real-world brand misuse, or interference with official Rockstar services.

Montaro does not currently sell in-game currency, loot boxes, characters, businesses, government positions, criminal authority, queue priority, immunity, property, weapons, vehicles, or Story Start approval. Cryptocurrency, NFTs, paid corporate sponsorships, and third-party in-game brand integrations are not permitted.

If Montaro ever accepts server-related payments, they must use the commerce provider required by Cfx.re at that time and undergo a separate policy, tax, consumer-protection, and platform review before launch. A contribution may never purchase application approval or strategic advantage.

Members may submit only material they created, licensed, or are otherwise authorized to use. Do not upload unlicensed music, logos, characters, scripts, maps, models, vehicles, artwork, video, or other protected material.

A copyright or trademark concern may be sent to stateofmontaro@gmail.com. Include your contact information, the protected work or mark, the exact Montaro location or URL, why the use is unauthorized, and a good-faith statement that the report is accurate. Montaro may remove or restrict disputed material while it reviews the notice.

This contact process is not a representation that Montaro has registered a DMCA designated agent. Formal DMCA safe-harbor procedures require a separate registration with the U.S. Copyright Office.

Montaro aims to make the website navigable with a keyboard, understandable with assistive technology, readable at common zoom levels, and usable without relying on color alone. The project uses WCAG 2.2 Level AA as an improvement target, not as a claim that every page or linked third-party service is perfectly conformant.

If a page, form, video, or document creates an accessibility barrier, contact stateofmontaro@gmail.com or open a private Discord ticket. Include the page, the problem, and the format or accommodation that would help. Montaro will make a good-faith effort to provide the information another way and correct barriers it controls.

The website and community are provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis for voluntary entertainment. In-game items, currency, positions, property, and progress have no real-world cash value and may be changed or removed.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Montaro disclaims implied warranties and liability for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from ordinary use, outages, wipes, moderation decisions, or user conduct. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, limits legally protected reporting, or waives non-waivable consumer, privacy, civil-rights, intellectual-property, or personal-injury rights.

Good-faith internal review is encouraged for gameplay and moderation disputes. Nothing prohibits a participant from contacting a platform, regulator, law-enforcement agency, emergency service, legal counsel, or court where they have a lawful right to do so. Retaliation for good-faith safety or legal reporting is prohibited.

Unless another law must apply, these policies are governed by United States federal law and the law of the state where the confirmed operator is established. An attorney should approve any future arbitration clause, class-action waiver, paid service, recurring subscription, or sale of digital benefits before it is introduced.
