ABOUT MONTARO

Roleplay with a purpose.

Montaro is designed for adults who want thoughtful characters, dependable systems, and stories that develop over time.

Our goal is a city whose economy, businesses, public offices, and conflicts are driven by residents. The Fachelli Family anchors the in-character underground, while the Montaro NIA protects the line between immersive conflict and out-of-character safety.

STORY START PROGRAM

You do not have to start over.
Start where you want your story to go.

Bring the character, history, and direction you already have. If your next chapter creates meaningful roleplay for other residents, Montaro may help establish it with an in-game grant or loan, a property lead, introductions, or assistance planning an opening scene.

ELIGIBILITY

A Story Start proposal must create useful roleplay for people beyond the applicant. It may introduce a business, organization, event, service, or other experience that residents can influence and enjoy.

  • Offers meaningful participation for other residents
  • Fits Montaro's laws, lore, economy, and safety standards
  • Does not create an unfair or competitive advantage
  • Leaves room for collaboration, setbacks, and change

ELIGIBLE PROJECTS

Ideas the city can support.

01

Open a business

Propose a venue, service, newsroom, shop, or other business that gives residents a reason to meet and creates ongoing roleplay.

02

Form an organization

Establish a crew, association, club, or community with a clear purpose and room for other residents to participate.

03

Plan a public event

Create a race, festival, civic program, production, investigation, or recurring event that invites the city to take part.

04

Establish a way of life

Begin with a believable profession, relationship, responsibility, or circumstance that gives your character a meaningful place in the city.

REVIEW PROCESS

How proposals are reviewed.

Approval provides reasonable help with a starting plan. It does not guarantee profit, authority, immunity, ownership, or success.

01

Submit a proposal

Introduce your character, explain where you would like to begin, and describe how the idea would involve other residents.

02

Meet with volunteer reviewers

The review team will discuss the proposal with you, check its fit with city lore and rules, and offer practical feedback.

03

Approve the starting plan

Approved proposals may receive an in-game loan, grant, introduction, property lead, or other reasonable setup assistance.

04

Begin the story

Support provides a starting point, not a guaranteed result. What happens next will depend on roleplay, choices, and the people involved.

COMMUNITY EXPECTATIONS

Responsible roleplay and mutual respect.

Keep conflict in character. In-character disagreements never excuse out-of-character hostility, harassment, or personal drama.

Make room for other people. Good roleplay includes setbacks, consequences, compromise, and opportunities for somebody else to contribute.

Maintain a healthy balance. Residents should not need unhealthy hours or repetitive grinding to access meaningful parts of city life.

Use support responsibly. Applications are reviewed by a group to protect fairness, city lore, public safety, and community value.

CITY RECORDS & MEDIA

The city's history is made by its residents.

Montaro documents the people, businesses, investigations, conflicts, events, court decisions, and turning points that become part of the community's shared history.

RESIDENCY OFFICE
